Scale & Proportion

The rose blazes at the center — and the size you choose decides whether the room contains that light or is lit by it.

The composition draws upward into the petals, the jeweled glass, and the light held within them. Radiance gathers at the heart of the image, which makes hang height decisive — with the lower edge 8–12 inches above a sofa or console, the window reads from seated and standing positions alike. Leave the wall above open as well, since anything crowding overhead works against the upward pull of the glass. Smaller formats hold the leadwork and the jeweled detail close, and the piece stays devotional. Chosen large, the rose becomes architecture, and the room takes its order from the light.
